Our team has decades of deep AI research experience, honed at world-renowned institutions such as Oxford, MIT, Imperial College London, and the Alan Turing Institute. We complement this academic foundation with top-tier industry expertise, including roles from software development at Tesla and CERN to strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company.

Max Ahrens, PhD

Co-Founder & CEO

PhD in natural language processing from Oxford University. Previously worked with the Alan Turing Institute and McKinsey & Company.

Eduardo Candela, PhD

Co-Founder & CTO

PhD in AI safety for autonomous vehicles from Imperial College, Master’s in operations research from MIT, previously worked at Tesla and Bosch AI.

Simon White

Lead Software Engineer

Startup co-founder and CTO of a Y Combinator backed financial payments startup. Software engineer with 15+ years of experience in building bank/military-grade IT infrastructure.

Gabriele Morello

AI Engineer

Master’s in artificial intelligence and bachelor’s in computer science. Previous startup co-founder and CTO. Worked at CERN as a software engineer for quantum encryption.

Jia Jun Lye

AI Red-Teaming Engineer

Worked on AI security with the Singaporean military and won several AI safety hackathons.
